You have to be carefull when you gut out the default. If you have any plugins that expect the post content to be in the standard place, then be ready for them to fail. Plugins can't really be written to just assume the post content is in a new place
I myself usually check for td.content div.message so that my functions don't accidentally run on something in a side table or header box
I'm still working on the hashcloud plugin. I actually have it done, and eton helped with the chrome struggle. But I don't think they are going to allow the method I used

Nice - Wormo I'm just curious can you give me an idea as to what your custom thread title looks for? As I'm 90% positive given that information I could work a way to make the two play nicely (sorry for offtopic)

I'm thinking the revamped search system might have broken the plugin somewhat?
In my posts, I have it set with a div to align it to the right, usually I'd have it set with [div align="right"]#hashone #hashtwo #hashthree #etc [/div] with a space before the closing div because that was breaking the tags, not an issue. All tags would render into links.
Now though, I've just posted today, I had two tags, I had to put a space before my first tag because it ate the ] out of my opening div and it only rendered the first tag. I fixed the first issue by adding said space and had the second tag show up by manually adding [HASH] in front of my second tag, otherwise it didn't render.
I have just made sure I had the latest version and I do, so I'm wondering a bit if I need to change my tags around ([HASH] instead of # -- which I don't mind, they're in my default BBcode setup) or if there's something else to fix this?

The serach system wouldnt change how the plugin creates the links, but it might change how those links actually create a search page.
you are saying what you posted above wouldnt turn into links?

What I've posted above in the code (given there is a space before the first tag and before the last), would only give the first tag into a link but not the other ones. When I click on 'Reply', I can see the first # turn into [HASH] and thus turning the first tag into a link but it fails to turn the other tags into links. I've had the plugin installed for several weeks at this point, with daily posts (and multiple tags attached) without an issue, this cropped up two days ago and I just realized it today. I went to correct one post set up before I'd installed the plugin to set in the tags and it did the same thing, first tag was linked, the rest not. --ETA:: Ran a few tests on my test board, these seem to be the result: If I single space them, before posting them I get this: However, out of curiosity since it seemed to skip one of two, I double-spaced them: And for some reason it worked. So I'm rather confused.

I worked in customer support, I think it gives me a bit of an idea on how to proceed. So I try to post where I'm supposed to when I need to, I know it's easier that way. I've seen way too many threads of 'post in the plugin support thread' as it stands.

Well for me, it was more that people were leaving feedback on the plugins in the library complaining that something didnt work, or asking questions. You cant really communicate with someone through a feedback system because there isnt a reply capability. it would be like someone writing
"Wormo is stupid"
on a wall in spray paint, and then me underneath it writing
"Why do you say that?"
So I have been on a tirade lately about people using the support threads, or at the very least making a new thread in the plugins board so a conversation can be had. I merge a lot of threads into my support threads so the person knows where its at. one of the benefits of the support thread, is that someone might very well have had the SAME issue you are having, and it just takes reading a couple posts to know what you need to do. or you could have found something new (like you did with this one) so other people using the plugin see our conversation and know Im looking into it without having to make new threads.

I think part of the problem is I added in some code because people were saying it was converting hex colors into clickable hashtags in their posts where they were making posting templates. so I tried to add some stuff in that would check if the content was hex-code-compatible and ignoring it. apparently I was overzealous in the regexp.
so I re-worked the regexp, and I think it should be good. if you want to put a hex color in a post that WONT get converted to a hashtag, it needs to have = or : or =" before it. otherwise it gets counted since there could be a viable reason to hashtag #cat123

Once it goes live in the library, I'll set it up on my test board and I'll get back to you, just to make sure though I'm certain it'll work fine, thank you, Wormo.

Is it only supposed to search the thread you are in? It's not searching the rest of the forum, or even the rest of the board that the topic is in.

Hashtags are dependent on thex search function working correctly. If your search isn't working correctly, you need to make a thread in support

One more question.
Someone tried to post a link on my forum.
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/07/rand-paul-foreign-policy-108897.htm #ixzz37XjPcL00
The link contains # within it. So the plugin split the link into whatever was before it and then a #ixzz37XjPcL00 after it. Any way of preventing that?
Edit: Looks like Proboards doesn't like URLs with # symbols in it anyway.

ugh. Im not sure I can do a regexp for that...
unless we go back to the rule that it HAS to have a space in front of it again

Plugin has been updated to the library finally and it works perfectly well, no more need to double space, thank you.
