Oh alright. Thank you for your help. Does it still work with the hashcloud? Yes, it still works with the HashCloud plugin.

you have the plugin loaded twice. so its running the script a second time on the results of the first script. as to this: bigballofyarn.proboards.com/post/581282I cant do anything to posts stored in the server. the revision will still display old posts just fine, but new posts require the brackets.

Ah. I thought when I updated it that it automatically overwrote the old one. Apparently that's not the case. I removed the old one and now new tags do work correctly. Thanks.

There just wasn't a way for it to know if the # was supposed to be for a tag it not if it was just that character. Since that character is used for hex colors or URL anchor links it was causing problems for those people. Everybody wants it to work in a special way but a computer can only interpret so much. If you read this thread you will see each time I thought I found a way to make it work, someone would find another thing that would break it. I even tried making it a requisite it had to have a space in front of it and people grumbled.

Okay, I am about to pull what is left of my hair out. I run a comic book/fantasy/sci-fi/horror discussion forum, with a slant toward Marvel's X-Men franchise, so naturally we have discussion threads about the various comic-related movies coming up. I was editing some of the first posts of some threads and adding hashtags to more easily keep track of them. #xfilm to be added to the first posts of all the X-Men related movie threads #xmenapocalypsemovie added just to the X-Men Apocalypse movie thread #gambitmovie added just to the Gambit movie thread #deadpoolmovie added just to the Deadpool movie thread. While all the Hashtags were converted into click-able search links, only the Deadpool movie thread showed up for #deadpoolmovie or #xfilm, and #xmenapocalypsemovie and #gambitmovie both returned "No posts were found". I waited a few days and tried again with the same results. I reedited the X-Men Apocolapse thread and put the hashtags in again. This time it showed up for both #xmenapocalypsemovie and #xfilm. Yay! Until... I repeat the process for the Gambit thread and it then shows up in searches for #gambitmovie and #xfilm but now #xmenapocalypsemovie returns "No posts were found" and #xfilm only shows Gambit and Deadpool. I go back and forth with that repeatedly. I make sure only to have one browser tab open at a time and no one else even online and it is like a game of whack-a-mole. Every time I get the tags for the X-Men Apocalypse thread to work the ones in the Gambit movie thread stop returning results and vice versa. It's insane and it's driving me crazy. abetterplace.boards.net/thread/277/deadpool-movie-developmentabetterplace.boards.net/thread/164/men-age-apocalypse-movie-newsabetterplace.boards.net/thread/229/gambit-film

You have to request a reindex from the support board. This plugin just generates a search string, it cannot affect if results are found

Nope - not seeing any post/thread moves to this thread having taken place in the security log, either. I'm happy to reindex a forum that needs it though -- is the URL abetterplace.boards.net/ ?

Then something very embarrassing probably happened. I think in the process of cutting and then copy/pasting a previous post from this thread to a new thread on the support forum, I apparently closed the new and empty support thread there instead of this one, and then pasted what I cut from a previous post here back here again by mistake, and then hit post. I swear I am not a moron, I have just had a lot on my mind lately. And yes, that URL is correct, thank you, Sir.

Heh, it happens to the best of us. Funny though!
I've triggered that reindex -- can you let me know in a few minutes whether that's corrected the issues?

Couldn't do it in a few minutes, sorry, first chance I've had to check back here, things have been crazy. The searches still aren't returning any better results from the hashtags. No improvement or change at all.
