Alright, adminabp, not sure why it took a couple of tries to actually reindex, but I'm now able to see other posts at #xfilms. Can you double-check for me?

Hi - we've just switched the hashtag and cloud plug-ins on and seem to be having mixed results....but not sure if it is as expected or if there is some additional configuration to be done - Hashtags don't work on the mobile browser - if you create a post from the mobile browser they appear in the post as '[ # ]tagword' (so the script doesn't convert them) and are not 'tappable' - If you view hashtags that have been created (from a full browser) they appear on the mobile version as '[ HASH ]tagword' again aren't 'tappable' - If I put hashtags in old posts they do not get picked up - As i create it in the old post I can click it and will see only the post i have just created it in - any other older posts that I've also tagged don't appear
- the cloud shows the hashtag but if i click it, it is empty.
- It seems that the Plug-In is only recognising posts since it's installation - to be able to go back and group old information would be a great plus
- Having said that one hashtag is pulling an old post up for no apparent reason as the hashtag does not appear in that post - just seems random especially as it doesn't pull other old posts up that do have that tag The cloud is missing at least two hashtags that have been created and work - even when looking at that hashtag string - the cloud on the same page does not display the hashtag word Sorry - bit of a brain dump and hopefully most, if not all can be resolved as this plug-in would be great if it is consistent and works on the mobile browser too

For starters I need to know which version you are running.
But I can tell you now, no plugin runs on mobile app. That has never changed and been written about numerous times. I cannot make something happen if it never even loads the code.
The instructions do mention that it will only work on posts since it was Installed. The hash cloud has NO way of going through all of the posts on your forum. If you edit a post with a hash that it didn't already have stored, it will add it though.
Also in the instructions it explains that new posts don't always get picked up right away. If that happens, you might have to wait a bit. If it still doesn't see it, you have to ask for your site to be Reindexed. This plugin just sets up a link to a search page. What the search page returns is out of my control. Sphinx does what it wants.
The cloud SHOULD have all its text as clickable links however, and I would need to see an example where it didn't

This use "what_exact_phrase", when I search normaly this appears: "captcha_id=captcha_search&what_at_least_one=", how can I modify the [#] to search at least 1 word in the entire forum?

It should already be checking every board since there weren't any boardname parameters listed. Search is only going to be able to look at post contents

So after reading through a few pages I finally understood I needed to put a bracket [] around the # to make it function as a hashtag. However now I'm running into an issue where I make the hashtag, say #help, it ALWAYS appears as "#help&who_only_made_by=0&display_as=0">#help" in the thread. Is this how it's supposed to look or is something now working properly?
Also, how long does it usually take for the link to appear in search results. On my help on, it's been close to 10 and nothing appears in the search.

So I was able to fix my original issue on my own. I'll leave the post there as reference for anyone else that has the same issue and will say that the cause was for some reason the plug in was installed twice.
With that being said I've moved onto a new issue with the feature, or maybe just a misunderstanding. I thought using the hashtag would cause the search to look for other hashtags. When clicking on the word, in this example we'll use #help again, it searches every post on the entire boards with the word "help" in it, not just #help. So rather than just being able to see posts using #help, I'm seeing all posts that have the word "help" in their text.
Did I misunderstand the feature and it just make the # option a quick search rather than a tool to only see #'ed words?

the search parameter should actually be looking for "[HASH]help"
if it is looking for just "help", then the link might have been saved incorrectly

Are you putting #test or [] around the #? [#]test is how it should look.
