Is there any way to have a forum poll embedded into the sidebar without using a third-party service?

Polls only exist within the thread they're created in. It wouldn't be possible to move them outside of that page.

So I can't do it similar to the custom page widget?

So I can't do it similar to the custom page widget? Nope. The widgets only work when you're on those custom pages.

There could be a way to insert a poll code for it but it wouldn't be a poll from proboards
