Proboard Zombie plugin addtional feature request

Hi all. I've installed the PB Zombie plugin on my board, and my members are really enjoying the game. However, one of the main complaints I'm hearing is that once you're dead, you can't participate any more. That's a downfall of being dead, I suppose, but it certainly makes it no fun for them. I've seen others say the same thing on the plugin rating page.

So, I'd like to ask if it would be possible to make it so that the dead become "undead" after a period of time. It could be a variable, just like how often the infected, scientists and soldiers can take their actions.

Coincidentally, the immune are saying they're not able to play either, if they're "just immune". They can't shoot or cure others. So perhaps when someone is made immune, they could randomly be assigned soldier or scientist status as well?

Ok I am quite new to this so be kind

I have downloaded this to my site for a bit of fun for Halloween

but I can't see it anywhere

how do I get it up onto the board?

Did you download it to your computer? Or did you install it directly on your forum? If you downloaded it to your computer you will need to

Go to Admin > Plugins > Manage
Click the Import Plugin button
Find the file on your PC and then click open. That will install the plugin. Click Finished.

That should take you right to the plugin, where you can add the members you wish to be infected, scientists, and soldiers, and make any other configuration changes you wish. There are several different tabs you can make changes on, so just browse through to see what's where. When you're done, click SAVE. That should enable the plugin. You will know if it's enabled by how it appears in the plugin list. Anything that's not enabled will be a faded out gray color. Anything currently enabled is blue. If you see it as disabled, just put a checkmark in the box to the left of the plugin name and that will enable it.

I did do directly on my forum and put one person in infected, also the other positions

After that, the one who's infected needs to bite someone, before s/he is either cured or shot. You should probably have more than one zombie, depending on the size of your forum.

All you will see is a button to bite, cure, or shoot at the bottom of another member's mini profile (assuming you've made yourself infected, a scientist or a soldier).

it is a small car club forum for my local car club

of 90 members

Not really...

The infected need to bite others but the bite will sometime kill them. Sometimes it causes immunity.

Scientists can cure the infected but sometimes the cure kills instead.

Soldiers are supposed to kill the infected but they can shoot anyone - even themselves. Lol

And currently, once you're dead you're out of the game.

steviea, part of the fun of this game is letting the members figure it out for themselves.  The zombies will see a big red button beneath their avatar that says: Infected.  There will also be a small button that says "bite" at the bottom of the mini-profile of anyone eligible to be bitten.  It doesn't take them long to get the hang of it, and it's fun to try to figure out what happens and why.

This plugin normally would have little to do with the subject of my forum, but for this time of year it is working well. We've tied the idea of it into real-life expedition we took part in, and some members are finding it great fun. The only downside, as mentioned by others, is the inability to revive the dead without having to reinstall the plugin, which I have had to do twice in the past week when members go shooting crazy

So I am watching this thread. Any updates or revive options would be awesome
