Hi Everyone, After seeing a few questions on support about getting Excel tables into posts, I decided to have a go at writing something to make the process easier. Yesterday, I finally sit down to do it and all is going well, better than expected until.... I come to 'adding' the content to the editor.....
The code is working at the moment to add one table, demo here : link ( there's a lot of stuff going on there and half written bits and pieces, please ignore!)
There 'should' be a tablify button in the top right of the reply page editor > which opens a div to paste your table into > tablify it > then submit it to the editor if happy
What I can't figure out is how to add the 'string' to the editor content instead of just .... mmmm.. adding it on it's own. I want to append it, rather than set it as a whole. I hope that makes sense. Basically so the user can add one table after another, where as at the moment I can only add one table as it replaces the content.
In short, How can I get the editor contents (preview & BBcode) of what is already in the editor to a string to be re-submitted, or better still, just append my string to what is in the editor!
Thanks for any help in advance. I thought a nights sleep would help but no... I've just gone blank on this one. Here or via PM is fine. Any other info needed , just ask. If you want the whole code to look at , I can post a download link here.
Cheers, Pebble.

Lookit the source of the hash tag code. See if that method will work for you.
