Okay so for the welcome PM there's a Forum Staff fake account that links to the staff members PM
What I was wondering if there would be any way of something similar like say entering the username "Staff" would easily send a PM to all members of the staff team.
This is in an attempt to make it easier for users to PM just the staff team, something we use on SHIELD a lot.

can't you send to an entire group when PMing? Or is that just an admin feature? /logged into admin so idk if members can do it but if they can, it's the drop-down options box, send to groups, pick separate or together, then go over and add the groups. Although I suppose then you would be adding the groups separately and still isn't one quick fast "staff" group. Unless you make a group called Staff or whatever, apply it to all staff members, set it so it doesn't display as their group, and then messaging the Staff group would indeed send to all of them, right?
Just spitballing xD

There is a way to send messages to groups, but only as the group leader.

This would be possible with the new Forum Key to store each of your members and the groups associates with them, but the key would first need to be 'initialised', which would mean looking at each page in your members list to find the group numbers and save them to the key. Then it would be a matter of keeping track of new members and those that leave your forum and any changes to the member groups.
All of which should be possible, but I can imagine the coding being horrendous.

It's only for about four names at the minute, not after any other group just the admin and global mod group members

Sorry, just read through this again..
You are after a plugin to give you the option to send PMs to staff only yes? And will all the staff members (administrators, global moderators, moderators etc) all be included in the same group?

Basically what I want is say someone types in a set name like 'staff' into the username of the pm field Then it sends the message to all members of the staff group.
PMs can otherwise be forwarded or sent as normal.
So say user x wanted to ask a question on x or y or z They'd type the username as: staff When it sent it would go to the four staff accounts
Not currently in a group but I could give them a group as long as one that was a secondary group would work.

Looking at the way recipients are listed in the PMs, I'm no longer sure this can be done.
I'll take a closer look, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
