You are going to have to be a bit more specific as I really don't understand what you are talking about.

We discuss about chess games and moves in our posts. It would be great if the other users can not just read the moves, but also see the position without having to set up a different board somewhere.

trickyblunder.freeforums.net I'm not sure you'll be able to access the board though. It will include private discussions between team members.

I'm sure a chess plugin would be possible to create, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean by needing two boards to do it.

This is why I said you need to be more descriptive of what exactly you are talking about. Finlip

I understand that to mean having to setup a chessboard (not forum board) in order to follow along since the moves in a PGN file can be somewhat cryptic and not everyone is capable of setting up a chessboard in their head then follow along by committing the contents of 64 squares to memory after each move and instantly recall on the next move.

A chess plugin to play PGN files or to read FEN positions is probably what I am looking for.

well I can convert the FEN translator.. but making something that allows two people to actually play chess would take a while

No, not play, just post drawings and a board where the moves that are written as text can be played through.

can you maybe provide some examples of how you want to list moves? Im researching the vernacular, but I dont really play chess enough to know what it all means.

That would be awesome. It would allow members to actually play against each other. I searched the net looking for something to add to the site on a custom page when I first joined and there isn't anything out there.

Could you really do something like this?
