Okay so I am getting slightly frustrated that I'll post this question before I get to bed. I am trying to make this set site here look like this. I am even having issues with my character wall, so imagine my frustration. I know it can be done because I have seen some beautiful sites in v5 and I want my site to be the same. If I am understanding correctly, when all sites officially convert at the end of this year, a lot of my stuff on my current site will be lost (because it's been upgraded) and I'll have to fix it, I'm trying to get an understanding of it all on a test site. So can someone help me out with these sidebar tables? Everything, I have on my current v4 site, I want on the v5 site. Isn't there a way also to make the categories look nicer? I'm not new to proboards but I've been on "working on v5" hiatus for most of this year due to school so I believe that I am running out of time.

It is definitely a good idea to get a grasp on the upgrade before it hits you at the end of the year, which is coming up fast, so you're right to be posting for help. For the Sidebars, I'd suggest installing the Sidebar Redux Plugin for easy set up and following the instructions in that thread to get it to look like your current ones, which is certainly possible. Everything on your V4 site is do-able on V5, for sure! However, to make it easier for us to help you convert, can you post particular questions that we can answer to help clarify and guide you? Most threads like this (requesting help with the conversion) are located in our general Support board so that admins and other helpful members notice it and can post their guidance, so you might want to consider posting there.

Well I have the sidebar redux plugin, I guess my main question on that is: how do I configure the sizes so that when I enable it on my board, it doesn't smash my forum and make it all wonky looking. See check this out. I don't know how to fix it, should I still post this in the general board?

I'd suggest posting in the Support thread for that plugin (linked in my last post) moreso, but it might help to increase your Forum Width. You can do that by going to Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Visual Editor > Forum(the header) > Width and then changing that number to something larger. I've had 1100px and 1200px suggested to me before as a width that works well on most computer screens, mine is personally set to 1100px but of course it is at your discretion ^^

Hi, True Essence. You've got a good amount of invalid HTML in your sidebar containers that's causing them to display incorrectly, such as a multitude of random closing and opening <tr> and <td> tags. The simplest way to copy your old sidebar containers is to take everything between a <td> and </td> tag (do not include the tags themselves though) and put it in its own content box. For the title bars, you'd simply need to copy the image code into the title for each respective container. The empty space around the images can be fixed afterwards with CSS.
