Custom Ban Message

How about a custom ban message, so that when you ban someone, they can see exactly why they are banned, rather than having to resort to email etc for finding out why.

I don't believe plugins run for banned members so this most likely is not possible

No, I meant when they are initially banned, and the small message comes up.

When they log in, or try to, it won't run any plugin to show any message

I usually only ban from the shout box, when members are on, so is there any way to customise that initial pro boards pop up message?

Mr. Tom, "shows you" being the key part there, I think. I don't think that message is displayed to the actual banned member, just you as the bann..uhm. banner? hahah
You could always grab their email and send them an email explaining why they were banned or put in a feature request in the General Support board here where showing banned messages is a default feature

Sadly, there's no way to customize the banned message.
