I admit I'm very new and inexperienced with CSS and I will be enlisting a new admin to help me shortly, but in the interim, I'm trying to get at least the basic shell of my forum ready. I'm doing pretty well except the theme I installed has links just below my newly placed banner image, as shown here: When I click on them, each link takes me to this page below, which I assume has something to do with the author. I searched all through the code and couldn't recognize where these where in order to delete them. I'm sure I'm overlooking something obvious, but could someone help me get rid of this text and the links?

You didn't provide a forum link so its kind of hard to tell you where they are myself If you cannot find it in the CSS/stylesheet it is most likely hidden in the layout templates (maybe for Home). Try to run a search (suing command + f on a mac or control + f on a pc) for the names in the links, such as "Rules" or "Character Templates". Hope that helps!

Looking at your page source, I see you have the Drop Down Navigation plugin. The place to change the links for the menu buttons is probably in the settings for that plugin.

Thank you for your suggestion, Smangii. Whoops I didn't mean to search in the CSS, I mean in the "Home" Layout template. It looks like its right below your header/banner area, have a look in Admin > Themes > Layout Template > Home

Have you tried visiting Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation tab?

Yes - those links do not appear there. All looks normal with those URL's. Is there any way to simply contact the creator of the theme? I know I'm not supposed to ask for support in a review, but maybe there is another way I haven't learned yet. One of the plug-ins that was coded into the theme is called "Links in welcome table (Sub name)" I have a feeling this may be it, but since it's coded in, I don't know how to disable it or change its settings. So frustrating, and I'm sure you all LOOOOVVVEEE dealing with rookies like me.

Sneaky.
Thank you to all who responded!

Hello. I am having the same problem with a theme. I went to Layout Theme > Forum Wrapper and deleted the corresponding hrefs and links. Yet when I return to the homepage, Rules, advertising, etc are still there and lead to the theme creator's page.
I am new to working with code for the most part. What am I missing?
