There was a similar plugin a while back but i can't gain access to it.
But it would be a plugin that gives you the option to Mute a person from posting or creating threads,For a specific time set by admins.
I know there on things already on Proboards were you can disable account but we still want people to be able to view whats going on but Mute banned if they have done something that they were not supposed to

Would Quarantine work for your purposes? If they post, you have to approve their post before it will show up. Just don't approve their posts during their probation period.

It's a Plugin in our Plugin Library =) It's called Quarantined Postsn or something like that
