This plugin places "Quote" and "Edit" buttons alongside posts in the Thread Summary when you're replying to a thread. Click the button and pull up a quote into your post! To try out the plugin here on support, you can switch your active theme to "v5 Default" - it's enabled for that theme.

Known issues:

• Nested quotes currently won't work with this plugin, and if you attempt to quote a post that already contains a quote, the nested quote will disappear from the summary and you'll only be quoting the post itself. This is intended, but I plan on fixing it down the line.
• Attempting to edit someone else's post from the thread summary (if you aren't staff) will cause an alert notifying the user that they don't have permission to edit the post. I'd rather the edit button didn't appear at all on posts you can't edit.

I downloaded this plug in and I noticed that if I use the regular Quote button to create a new post, the plug in fails to apply the New quote button in the summary page. I hope this can be fixed otherwise nice idea!

Just released an update for this - in addition to quoting, you can now choose to edit posts (that you have access to, of course) from the thread summary.

I've installed this plugin here on Support and enabled it on the "v5 Default" theme (mostly so I can use it ), so feel free to try it out by switching to that theme in your profile settings.

I just want to say, I LOVE THIS! Is it possible to have all the quotes to appear in the quick reply box when we are picking quotes as we scroll through a page in a thread?

Basically the same thing this plug in does, just for the quick reply box and for whatever page we're on in a topic.
