Level Up Meter [library support]

I'm having the same issue where the levelbar doesn't show the gradient. I've tried to add the span into the template of the mini profile as described, but it doesn't work. It's also really hard to know where to put the span as the instructions aren't very clear.

the where part is up to you.  Usually you put it into the forum layout templates - mini profile coding.  then it gets its info from each mini profile box its inside.  Unless you have done some major overhaul to how that structure exists on the page.  especially the part where it finds how many posts a user has.  it EXPECTS it to be in a default container so if you changed that, add the hidden span thing the instructions talk about.

I tested this out on my forum. I wanted to have the bar present with the next level placement. So, I set "Current Rank Placement" to "none." It continued to show the current rank placement in the mini profile by the bar. Is there anything that would have caused that to happen?

I'm having trouble getting the width of the bar to work, right now it's just a line and won't show an actual bar. The height controls work fine.

I have <span style="display:none">posts: $[user.posts]</span> at the bottom of my mini-profile template to get it to show, but no other code relating to the level bar.

After having worried and fretted through seventeen pages of this thread, I'm happy to report that the plug-in is working exactly the way I had hoped it would on my forum! Kudos to you, Wormopolis! Thanks for all the hard work on this one!

What does your rank settings page look like?

Is there a way to have multiple ranking systems? Or can you only use one.

If you have groups setup, you can make certain levels only affect certain groups.  the minimums then will be ignored by everyone not in that group

Been using this Plugin on my RP forum since its inception, so its been quite a big help, it is because of this though i did want to ask. Is there anyway to have this Plugin interact with the Monetary System Plugin ,having the Bar look at a User's money for the bar instead of their posts?


I wanted to have my RP site switch over, so a player character power is defined by the Money system instead of by posts count (so users can also buy things with the power they gain), i was hoping though there is someway them to make it so the Level up Bar looks at a Users 'Money' instead of at their posts, so i can retain this plugin.


Is there anyway to do this? (I know i could cheat it by just having a users post be subtracted when they buy stuff, but i wanted user post to be a proper indications of how many forum posts they have made, so i wanted to avoid changing them like that).

appends to bottom of MP or into target element with class="levelBarHere"

if you changed how posts are displayed from normal, add <span style="display:none">posts: $[user.posts]</span> into your mini-profile template

Hello, 

I'm just wondering why it shows the 'current rank' when that's already in the mini profile below the member's name? It doesn't show in the picture of the meter on the download page. Is there a way to remove it? I don't need it to show current rank status, only number of posts until the next level.

The Level Up plugin is inspired by a header/footer code from an older version of Proboards  and that code was also locked to post count. You can however "trick" the Level Up plugin into using the money total by editing the mini-profile of the theme as described in the Monetary support thread and adding a hidden secondary money amount display preceded by the text "Posts: " thus getting the Level Up plugin to grab that value rather than the actual post totals value that comes after it in the mini-profile
