can you create threads/posts in the board you put chess in? immediately after clicking "I moved" it should create a new thread with the first post having the players names in it.

I can create threads just fine. Just not any chess threads

Alright. Do you have a bunch more plugins running? Does it work if chess is the only plugin active?

So those following:

I now have it prompt the challenger player when 50 moves have been reached, to archive the first 25 moves in the key to make more room. it takes them really quick to the post edit, and puts the data directly into the post. when displaying, the data is hidden so it doesnt garbage up the post display. I used some CSS to keep it hidden so it should never appear on the page at all (except in mobile). Im currently working on it re-combining the post stored data with what is in the key to make the prev/next buttons work correctly. I also need to find a way to make this work fluidly with the companion plugin so notifications still happen. as a fallback though, I might have it not do a notification when the archive has to occur, but it will put that button above the game board where you can manually notify other player. not SUPER inconvenient since archiving will only happen after 50 moves have occured (and every 25 after that). The game on Gibbys board was around 70 moves so I think it should be safe at 50. Hopefully I can get it all figured out by the weekend.

I have unlimited keys, so yeah. I will try that, but if so; can't there be a way that it works with a lot of plugins working??

It depends on the plugin. Where I was going with this, is to see if its a plugin conflict or a template conflict. easy to check plugin conflict by disabling all other plugins temporarily to see if chess works. if it does, then you know its a plugin. then you just have to turn them on one by one or a few at a time to find the conflicting plugin. it might be a matter of the order of the plugins as well. so start with that process. I have several sites runnign the same version of chess you are and they have no issues, so I know the plugin is working. Its all a matter of seeing what its mad at.

Just wondering if there is any advance, Wormopolis, in getting the plug-in to work in starting a game off with another member when playing on a tablet/touch screen?

I tested it with my iphone and I am able to choose a member to play against and even drag the pieces. I dont know what the difference would be between a tablet and an iphone would be though.

Ijust dont have a tablet to test with and unless someone at support has one to look for me, Im in the dark. I typed in a name and it found that user. I clicked the user and hit "DONE". It just worked again when I tried it on my iphone. maybe Brian or David Clark know of a way to test on a tablet?

No real difference in how they work. It's just dependent on how your choice of browser handles it like any other device.

Thank you, Brian - Just found out for some odd reason you can start a game off in Chrome on a tablet and not on FF browser.

Yeah now I got nuthin.  I write in Firefox so I know it works in firefox on a PC...  I have no idea why firefox on a tablet would hate that function...
