Also, from the experience of just trying to fix some minor things on my forum...my sympathies go out to all the plugin developers who were impacted, in some cases heavily, by this crap with Photobucket.

I was trying to shift the hosting of the default images onto proboards. there were a few images not customizable that I also wanted to move. now Im using proboards image storage for the pieces and other icons. You can still put in your own URLs as before though.

I got it all working again, but I was looking into what some users had reported was the inability to make a move

I don't know if you're still working on plugins, but if you are, I have a few issues to report that are making this plugin currently unusable =/

Notify Other Player and Show EPD aren't working for me. They show up but do nothing when clicked.

There's no way to forfeit if it isn't your turn. This is a problem because the opponent may go inactive and the player may want to get out of the game and has no way to at the moment. Since they can only be in 1 game at a time (if I'm not mistaken?) this essentially locks them in indefinitely.

The 2 bottom images are broken--I know you most recently said you changed where the images are stored, but for some reason, they are both still showing broken pictures. This is for the "Create an image out of the board" and the "toggle board view" buttons. The images don't seem to do anything if I click on them, either, so basically all of the buttons on the chess post seem to be broken for some reason.

Unfortunately, since none of the buttons seem to be working, the biggest problem is that the 2nd player can't make their move. The "It's Your Move" button doesn't work. =/


If you're up for looking into this, forum is alcryst.forums.net and your account is "wormopolis." You should have admin permissions to check out the plugin settings and fiddle in there if you want, too. Just a quickie (I think!)...
I have updated all the image links so they point to another location rather than Photobucket, but there is one image I cannot locate to change the settings of ... the "Switcher" button.
Any clues?

The game appears to work (although sadly limited to a Desktop Browser and needs Mouse support

Hi,

I downloaded this plugin, both parts, and assigned them to the Chess board on my forum. All I see is the FEN editor tab.

When I click on the FEN editor tab, I see the board and can make moves, but when I click 'submit' or 'reply', I don't see the board.

Do we have to put those tags to see the board? I don't get it. There is no 'play game' button next to the 'create thread' button.

Please help.

Well that was the original idea... but feature request after feature request sorta shoots that idea in the foot...

Actually, now that I have it installed and have been using it, it works fine.

Is there anyone who can make this work? I start the game, the blacks get the "Its your move" button but nothing happens when it is clicked.
I also get previous and next buttons and a "Show EPD" button...and a refresh icon. None of them does anything, either.

As a test, if you temporarily disable your other plugins, do the buttons work?

Hello,

There are some members whose names don't show up in the chess game. They are new members. They don't see the 'play chess' button, and when their name is entered as an opponent, 'no user found' comes up.

Please advise on how to fix this issue.

This sounds like you need a member re-index. Create a thread in the Support Board to ask for one. A PB Admin will be able to initiate a re-index for you.
