You should disable any installed plugins within the month and try again.
Probably a plugin conflict.

Hello,

Thank you for this great plug in.

I've got a starter issue though unfortunately.

After I make my first move and click 'I moved' the screen starts to go into a timer for something and just sits there endlessly. I'm thinking maybe I have missed something I've needed to do in the settings perhaps.

Insallted with the chess notification and I have the Yootil at the top of the list.

Hello again,

I found out why this is happening. If on the opening move I click on 'I moved' then the screen goes into a timing mode of just loading but if I click on 'forfeit' then the game starts fine.

Is there a reason why this is happening?

Since Wormo hasn't been around lately, you may want to post this issue in the Smilie Dropdown Support Thread and maybe Todge can take a look.

I would recommend stating what the conflict is and why you think it's conflicting with the chess plugin. It makes it easier for plugin authors to track down issues if they have some details so they can fine tune their search. Just stating that it conflicts doesn't really help.

When I left chess was already starting to experience some new bugs centered around mobile users and some other change I think webkit had made. I dont know what all othe rplugins it will conflict with.

I will likely be eliminating about half of my plugins when V6 rolls in because they wont be necessary anymore or I wont know how to update them. Chess is my pride and joy and will definitely get the most of my attention, but I might not be able to do it. I will try, but I cant promise anything. Im not a professional.

I need help with the Chess system. It was working when I first installed it a couple of years ago, but that board has been inactive for a while and I just discovered that the chess pieces no longer appear, nor does the game for that matter.

I tried re-installing the plugin, but that didn't work.

I appreciate any help with this.

I don't get the "New game" button next to create thread on any board I've enabled the plugin on.

If you have modified the template so that the title bar is missing the button has no where to go. do you see a button for "create thread"?
