Hello ChrisWas just brought to my attention this morning by two members that the Smilie Dropdown with option to view all by Todge does now work. The only thing I changed yesterday on my site, was adding the marquee button to the QR BBCode Buttons plugin, which was so indicated in previous threads here. Here is a pic of what I have: Once I disabled your plugin, Quick Reply BBCode Buttons Version 0.8.5 Beta, the smiley plugin works just fine. Link to siteNote: I did remove from your plugin, which came with it: which I felt was not needed for my members.

Hello again ChrisI had no choice, but to remove the marquee button from your plugin, as some members wanted their smilies back as oppose to having the button. Hopefully, no one else encounters the issue I had and I'm sure it was an isolated problem on my end.

Not an isolated incident aRMY83, the plugin detects if another plugin adds a new button and makes the effort to preserve it but if a plugin instead modifies an existing button or menu (e.g adds something to smiley menu) then it is not so easy to detect. With the exception of some of Todge's plugins I am not aware of any others that actually modify an existing button or menu but I did address this problem several months ago in the nightly (experimental) version. I've transferred that method to this simpler version and will post once dropbox recovers from its self-inflicted crash. (v0.8.9)

Hello ChrisThis may have something to do with adding the marquee button, but just wanted to input about you stating "the plugin detects if another plugin adds a new button and makes the effort to preserve it but if a plugin instead modifies an existing button...". I could not figure out why the Smilie Dropdown by Todge (Quick Reply? > Yes, in EB's UBBC code) would not work in the Quick Reply area and decided to disable all plugins to see if there may be a conflict from other plugins. I found that when I disabled this plugin, Collapsible Quick Reply by Peter, then the Smilie Dropdown within the Quick Reply was working just fine with your plugin enabled.

aRMY83That plugin I created is very old. It was done when creating plugins was new and fresh out of the box . I really recommend getting a new one requested that doesn't use a key.
