I am a forum admin and find that there doesn't appear to be an option to "subscribe" to a thread.
How it works. If you post on a thread, you automatically subscribe to it. You can also hit a drop down menu to subscribe without posting. There will be another button on the top menu bar labeled "Subscribed" that you can click, and there it will list all the threads you are subscribed to. It can look like a search result even.
I attempted to make one, but quickly found out that the software was way over my head so I'm asking one of you more experienced guys to helm me out. Thanks!

There's already a bookmarking system in place; you can Bookmark threads. It's in the Actions drop-down.
If someone Bookmarks one or more threads, they'll have a "Bookmarks" option in the main navigation menu they can click to view a list of all their bookmarked threads.
Is that perhaps the sort of thing you were looking for? Or were you requesting something different?

I know about the bookmarks.....it could work with some modification. I feel there should be an option to "subscribe" or "bookmark" all the threads you post on so you don't have to manually do so every time.

the participaed topics box will update if you post in a thread and someone posts after you.
but as to the idea of auto-bookmarking EVERY thread you post in. you sure you would want that? its an opt-in kind of feature in the first place otherwise you would be getting a bunch of notifications everytime someone made a new reply in a thread you just once wanted to post in. having to manually UNbookmark a thread you dont want to keep an eye on, seems as much work as bookmarking one you do.

Well, having an option to turn it off that each user can decide if he/she wants it or not would help. I just like to be notified. On other forums, I have as much as 300 subscribed threads, but most of them die off so I have about 20 current.
