Show Number of Times Edited?

It's occurred to me that although it's nice to have a notification saying a post is edited, and the last time it was touched, it might also be a beneficial thing to be able to note how many times the post has been edited along with that information.

The problem is that I have no idea how to do so, or if there exists a way to do it; I know some forums have such a feature though, which is why I ask.

So could someone point me in the right direction?

I don't know if there is a variable for this. You probably need to make a feature request in support for this to even be possible, though I am not sure so I could be certainly wrong

Hm.  I guess I'll tag Wormopolis, Shorty and Todge here then to see if any of them have any answer as to whether they happen to know anything, and if not, they can then move this to the Support board as a Feature Request so I don't have to start a new thread for no real reason.

Granted, I know you're working very hard on Alters, so I understand if this doesn't exactly take priority.

A "history" of edit reasons. Just the last 3, 4, 5, or 6 (or more?)

Have you ever been to the windows forums?

If you click the date where it says "NOT YOU 87 asked...", you will see it displays the full time and date right? Well, if it has also been edited, it displays that too. And if it's been edited multiple times, it will say each edit.

If you look at the first reply from the helper (Geethu), you'll see what I mean.
It says "created" then above "edited". The wording for "edit" could be changed to "Edit 1" or "First Edit", and it'd change for each edit. Or something.

I understand Wormo's probably working very hard on the Alters plugins, but I'm just going to bump this again, don't mind me~ I still just think this'd be an awesome idea if he can figure out where he put the coding. XD
