Allow star icons in thread title for review board?

I had the idea to have, in my forum, a board dedicated solely to reviews. Both members and guests could look around the site and create their own review of it, explaining what things they like and dislike, how long they've been around, suggestions for the forum, etc. Each member (or guest) would make a new thread for their specific review and give the forum an overall ranking between one and five. Somewhere in the Create Thread page, there would be an option (available only for posts made in this specific Review board) to choose between one and five stars; this would result in the appearance of however many stars they chose to appear by the thread's title when looking at the entire board.


Does this sound possible? I don't think it would be too complicated if it were. It'd basically be like the old Proboards, where you could choose an icon for your thread (for example, a question mark or an exclamation point) except here the member would choose between one through five stars depending on their overall opinion of the forum.


I tried to find something like this and failed. If anyone can either find it or create it, or encourage me on how to create a plugin myself (I've never tried but would be willing to if it wasn't too difficult!) then I would appreciate it! ^^
