Restrict custom fields to member group?

I was thinking that it would be helpful for RPGs to be able to have custom fields that appear based on what group the account is placed in. For example, character information such as name, species, and links to their bio, etc. would not help or look good on an OOC account; so if at all possible, does anyone know of a plugin, or can make a plugin, that would allow custom fields to show up based on group? Thanks =)
