List of Recently-Created Threads?

I have checked in the layout templates, and although there is already an existing link and reference for recently posted-in threads, there isn't anything I can find for getting a list of recently created threads.

Am I just blind and don't see it?

Or if I'm right, and there isn't anything, could someone point out what I could do to get such a link for my info center?

In the Info Center (default), it has "Recent Threads": support.proboards.com/threads/recent
Not sure where you're wanting it, but a common location is the navigation menu, so if you wish to add it there:

Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation.

Click "Add Custom" and for the name, type anything you want/prefer, then for the url, just type /threads/recent

If it's not in your Info Center, then that must be due to you having a custom one, or simply removed it by mistake.. or some thing. If you do have the default info center and it isn't there, just click the "reset template" link at the top in: Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Home

Not sure why there is no newly created threads, but instead they are updated ones. That's strange.

Maybe someone like David Clark or Brian or CheatAreZee can explain.. ?

Also, I'm still interested in this, very much so. If it needs moved to Feature Requests, then I suggest a mod do so.

Have you thought about the search function?

For example, a search for threads created in the last 3 days threads posted in within the last 3 days, by any member:

(your forum name).proboards.com/search/results?display_as=1&when_days=3&who_only_made_by=0

If something like that would work for you, it wouldn't be too hard to add a link or a button somewhere that would pull up the results.

Edit: Actually, I guess that doesn't exactly do what you want, either.  Sorry!

You want a list of the newest threads created by everyone or just you?

Because either way it sounds like either the Recent Threads link in the info center or the one in a user's profile does exactly what you're looking for.

* The list of Recent Threads in the info center is a list of threads that have recently been posted in, which is not what I'm looking for.

* I'm aware of the individual lists of threads recently created by each user (which one gets to from their profile), but that's just for one individual person, which is also not specifically what I'm looking to accomplish here.

Myself and my forum members are looking for an overall list of the most recently-created threads, because we want a way to give newly-made threads some love. The list of recently-posted-in threads is merely a list of popular threads and is not organized by their initial creation date (rather, by the times they were last posted in), so brand-new threads are not given the priority on the list that they should be.

Another means of getting what I want would be the ability to sort threads by their creation date/time and being able to link to a page that is sorted in that state, as that would put newest threads that haven't been posted in yet/posted in very little at the top. As far as I know, however, there is currently no such way to sort threads by creation time (it isn't a sortable_class available on the Board tab in the Layout template [which doesn't have any sortable_class criteria I could possibly add], such that I could make the column header clickable to organize by that criteria, despite being able to insert $[thread.created_on] into the "Created By" column to see the information itself).

This shouldn't be a difficult thing to do, and should be one of the options the Info Center has by default. It confuses me why it wasn't there to begin with, and doesn't seem easy to add.
