Image does not repeat on Different Background per Board

Poetic Horizons v5


I had originally set my backgrounds to repeat-y (horizontally) about a week ago, but it didn't repeat ... I tried several times and no luck.  Tonight I tried working on the different background boards again, changing it however to repeat-x (vertically), however despite the fact that I tried to change the directions of the repeat (and saved changes each time) it kept reverting back to repeat-y in the settings.  And ... still there is no repeat of the image of any kind.

I even tried repeat-repeat for both directions on one board, when I checked there was no repeat-repeat....however, for that one particular board when I rechecked the settings it had not reverted back to repeat-y. 

I hope I made sense of the above ... sorry if it is confusing.  The boards I was working on are under the category POETRY.

It is best to reply in the plug-in thread so the creator of the plug-in can help you out. I'll go ahead and tag ®i©hie, assuming that is the plug-in you are using. (I'd move it but I'm having difficulty moving this to that thread, sorry)

I downloaded the plug-in from the library and seem to have a different results. No matter what I set my background to, it repeats. Setting it to x or y has no affect. However, I went to my visual editor in themes and my background there was set to repeat. I then set that background to y or x and it seems the plugin is following suit on the board no matter what you set it to, at least in my case.

I was able to override it by adding my preference in the header of that board so until Richie identifies the problem, you can try that but probably best if you wait before adding it so Richie can have a direct look at it not working or just set up a board you don't really care about so he can see it not working.

I have not yet tried the suggestion Tumbleweed gave me, because I've been going converting my forum step by step with the changes I did in the Beta version, and have not gotten to the Different Background for each Board Plugin yet. 

In my v4 forum I had several Boards with different background and I simply used the code

.... in the header for any Board I wanted a different background.  The backgrounds I had of course all disappeared when my forum converted over sometime last week, except for this one Board using the above code.

Yes, I do use Photobucket. The image in Dark Poetry is uploaded to my account.

What size is your image? Did you go to your settings at photobucket and change the upload to ~original? Where it keeps the uploaded size in its original size? You only need to do this for these large background images. Once uploaded, you can set your setting back to 800 or whatever. In fact, you will need to set it back or your smaller images won't show because they will have the ~original after them, making them invalid and you will need to remove the ~original from before use. Its a pain I know.

I corrected an error on my part, I had repeat-y use the value repeat-x, so repeat-y should now work.
