Sidebars, Headers and Width

I'd like my sidebar back, please!

This v5 upgrade has really messed up my site! And now I have no sidebar and there seems to be no
way to get one! I do not want a new theme ... I do not want to have to monkey around with colors.

That's about the only thing that this v5 upgrade didn't screw up was my color scheme! Everything else
was screwed up unbelievably!

I need the sidebar back!

I need my main forum to be narrower -- the way I had it before not this blown out version that I have now!

I want my Logo Header to not tile -- it never NEVER tiled or repeated before and now it does!

This is ridiculously stupid to have to make an upgrade that isn't even an improvement!

My members can't even find their PMs!

I NEED these items remedied!


AND I'm not a new member as my avatar now says -- I've had a forum registered with Proboards since 2009!

It actually is a great improvement over V4 but I totally understand you frustration.  V5 is so different from V4 it can be rather confusing. 

Most all v4 codes you put in your headers and footers will no longer work. Most of the popular codes have been replaced with plug-ins. If you go to your admin panel and click on the Plug-in library it will take you to a list of plug-ins:

You'll want the "Sidebar Redux". Just type in "Sidebar" or "Redux" in the search box on that page and it should turn up. Click "read more" and off on the right side you should see where you can download the side tables straight to your forum.

To retrieve the content you had in the side table you had on V4 you can go to:

Admin> Structure> Headers & Footers> Manage>

On the far right side of the Global Header and footer there should be a little file. Click on it and you can see your old global headers and footers. If you need help with fixing the content, just let me know.

Trust me, I know it is overwhelming and most of us do not like change and having to learn a whole new way to do things but ProBoards had to keep up with the competition and I know you won't think that now, but you will come to like V5 very much. Meanwhile, we are here to help you get your forum back to how it was.
