Sidebar Redux, I'm stumped

I have just started to add a few new elements to My Forum the latest being Sidebar Redux, only one problem, I'm a complete noob at this sort of thing.

I have a couple of test sidebars but have no idea how to add function to them. I would like, if possible, to put a news or twitter feed in one and perhaps a link to recent posts in the other.

Any help would be really appreciated even if it is only to point me in the right direction.

news/twitter feed sounds like a third-party widget, so try googling it

For the link to recent posts, you can do <a href="http://YOURFORUM.proboards.com/posts/recent" target="_blank">Recent Posts</a> and change YOURFORUM.proboards.com to your actual URL for your site.
