I wasn't sure where to post this exactly, so I chose the next best place... heh so I'm friends with a few coders who also have their own PB forums, and I have a plugin I'm working on specifically for plugin development. (you guys already know what it is) so anyways... I was thinking of sharing my plugin with my friends and we could all work on the same plugin linked between our forums. (whatever updates I make will also appear on their forums, and vice-versa) the idea comes from my public repository for UMC dev5 on DropBox, where everyone's updates are instantly handed out among the rest of the devs. well, that's part 1 anyways... part 2 is your globalized login system for all v5 forums you're a member of. part 2 actually finalized the idea for me and I just had to speak out. ;D hope you guys like it and consider it.

Why don't you just give them plugin editing powers on the forum you're creating the plugin on?

1: they're not a member of my forum. (they have their reasons) 2: the updates wouldn't be applied on their forum along with other forums in shared devlopment of the plugin. with shared development, I'm thinking all I would have to do would be to provide them a link to a page that would allow them to install my plugin on their forum. once it's installed, the src of the plugin would automatically allow editing and update on my end, and vice-versa. once the plugin has reached a good point in development, it can THEN be released to the library for normal installation. it's only an idea... implement it this update, next or later updates, or just don't implement it at all... your call I just feel it would help out alot of plugin developers with alot of issues before a plugin's released.
