<div> in javascript ? help

I want to venture into javascript with my plugin design. My question is can I create a container like the Html in javascript? If so can someone walk me through it so I can learn?

Mike: I suggest you go look at w3schools.com, it's got a great tutorial on javascript and a great function reference (that I still use).

I have read alot of that my problem is adapting any of that to my code. I just don't get it. but I will give it another whirl.
