I can setup a variable for left and center for my div but since I have the sidebar redux I'm having a problem aligning to the right side of the categories. How can I get that right in my plugin?

Perhaps a link to your forum and a slightly clearer description of what is the problem. Is this a problem with the sidebar redux plugin?

No, It's my own plugin. I'm using margin On my div with the user interface selector for left (0 0),center (0 auto),right(). When right is selected I want it to align with the right side of the category. But I noticed using the sidebar redux you have to manually align it. Is there any way to align it without manually adjusting it?

Hmm maybe post this in Plugin Development? And if the problem is focused on the sidebar redux, maybe tagging Brian as well.

Mike, what forum is this on, what plugin is it affecting, and where can I see the effects of the plugin you're creating?

I'm not seeing a sidebar on that forum.
Where does the div need to precisely be?

Brian, I'm going to work on the alignment some more but what I meant is (yes it has been changed since the thread) Using the selector for the margin, I managed to be able to control left and center for the container but the right I would have to do manually. I'm going to work on it again. I was thinking there was automatic value for the right.

Making a div align itself to the left or the right of the page requires one of these following conditions:
-The div needs to have a width specified and its left or right margin set to auto depending on which direction it's meant to align in.
- The div needs a float CSS property to make it float left or right (more useful for placing it around other <div> elements on the same line).
- The div needs to display as an inline or inline-block (not available in IE7) element and be surrounded by an element that has a text-align declaration.

Brian, I re-did the align part to work. Can you see if it could be better? The forum width is 800px so I set the right -0px 595px. It seems to be right but the user has to mess with it according to the forum width.(595px value has to be messed with)

If you use margin-left: auto; instead of your current margin declaration it should always align to the right regardless of the width. This way you don't have to mess with the numbers at all.

BrianSo margin-left will make go right? Okay Dad Lol Yes, margin-left: auto; makes it align to the right. I'm dead serious here! I understand your skepticism in that you're wondering how the heck something that says "left" could possibly make your container align to the right, but I would've noticed my inability to differentiate between left and right by now if what I typed was incorrect.
