Headers and Footers Per Template?

I was wondering if there's a way to tweak headers and footers so that they only apply to different templates? Right now I have box codes in the headers and footers that are forced to match one theme and one theme alone. Is there a way to make a code similar to the multiskin code from v4?

I'm currently using the Canvas Theme made by Dorothia.

You can always put your changes in the theme's template directly:

- Go to Admin Area > Themes > Layout Templates, make sure you have the correct theme selected for 'Current Theme'
- Click on the 'Forum Wrapper' template
- Find the '$[header]' variable (it's on line 55 of the default template)
- Anything in your headers gets placed at this location, so adding any code in here would be like putting it in a header for this specific theme.

Oh great! I'm having a bit of trouble changing the last part of the headers to edit the text for the skin. Is there anyway you could help me with it? I'm using a test site here and you can see the welcome, navigation, and site info letters still have the coloring from a previous skin I made. I think I should clarify and state that I already changed the original template to creamy oranges and reds and such so I lost the white and gray colors for the boxes and such the creator of the template had made in the process.

I'm stuck on this coding from the original base and what to put in the header and what not to.

Did you get this worked out? I think you did since the color posted here is different than what you have on your test site, but I wanted to make sure.

Hi Tumbleweed, (I think. xD It's late.)
Thanks for checking in! The things I listed above are problems I'm still having. You can see the comparison between my actual site, the testing site, and the original theme. The original theme made by the creator has blues and purples and pinks for the top outline of the boxes and the text and I'm not sure how to tweak that.

This blue part in your table is what colors the first letter (W). If you don't want the first letter a different color then just remove the bold. The red is that part that is making the top color bar.

To style the welcome part to your taste just add some css to change it using the class "sbtitle" that is in the div.

So if you add something like this above the table and change the hex color (#ffff00) to your preference:
