I can't even count the number of times I've posted on the wrong account, only to have to delete the post, log in to the correct account, and post again. This feature would make things sooooooo much easier!

I saw Alters mentioned.. other then not being able to run on mobile, what is it about my plugin you dont like? While your plugins are great, We like completely separate accounts, it uses a superkey which will make us pay money as many RPs are already using 2 superkeys for monetary code or the shop or for the awards by todge. It's the norm for RPs, to have entirely separate accounts. A great deal of users now browse forums while mobile, so when they go to a post that uses alters it's the main account, plus only admins can add alters. While this is great for some things, I feel it's only merely a stepping stone to being a full feature of ProBoards. Your plugin does have a great advantage over it being built in, but I feel it'd be better as a built in system such as SMF, Jcink, MyBB, XenForo, Invision Power Board 3, vBulletin, IcyBoards, PHPBB, PunBB, Burning Board, Phorum, Nova 2, all have what is requested in the first post, ProBoards is one of the few that has it, and this is the main reason why a lot of PB forums has been flocking over to Jcink and SMF as they're in favor of the account switch.

well I HAD to use a superkey or the data it stored wouldnt be available to everyone. but that is also just the companion that needs the super key. the regular alters plugin uses just a post key.
I made the alters admin editable, because frankly it meant less mistakes. if EVERYONE was editing the alter data, then username might get changed for no reason, entire characters would be wiped out and all posts that used to belong to one character will now show as another or no longer be linked. most of what is in Alter fields doesnt really need to change that often or at all.. except signature and personal text maybe. and companion lets members set their own status.
but enough on that. I just saw it was mentioned and wanted to defend it.
I will say it would be beneficial for certain forums to have a faster method for switching accounts, but it definately would need to stay optional and not mandatory on every forum. as for them adding global account data directly into the posting page, the devs would have to clear that since it might require a password check to verify identity...

The menu "quick" switch, isn't really that. It's only one less click than that of the global page. Currently, all you do is click the switch account icon, then your account. Voila. It only takes a matter of a second to do. Maybe some form of being able to organize your accounts would be more beneficial, or at least easier than this menu quick switch, which in turn means it would more likely be implemented.
Being able to put them in any order you wish, would be great (dragging them up/down/left/right).
I do like the other ideas though, but I only ever use the one account, and don't RP, so for me personally, it's not beneficial, but since there are a lot of RP forums on PB, it'd definitely be useful.

I like it and I often manage to accidentally post on the admin account and go @_@ -have to copy paste delete and repost, or that I have to pause redo the post from scratch on the proper account and it honestly takes time.

You can actually reorder your account list by going to the dashboard (The second icon on the 'switch accounts' thing), then clicking on account settings, then 'forum accounts'. From there, you can click/drag, they display in rows of three, left to right, and then down. ;- )

This is to re-organize them for the dashboard on proboards.com (If you mean here: proboards.com/account/settings/forum )

This is what I have it as for myself: I went in and randomly moved a few around to show that it does affect it:
