Different numbers of boards displayed in a line per category

Okay so I know this used to be doable in v4 and I'd love to be able to do it on v5 so that it goes like this:

Category 1

Category 1 board 1 Category 1 board 2 Category 1 board 3

This is	all of	Cat 2s	Title bar
Board 1	Board 2	Board 3	Board 4

This is category 3	Also category 3
Board 1 cat 3	Board 2 cat 3

This is	the titlebar for	Category 4
First board	second board	Third board

I've tried to work it out to do so myself with no avail so help?
