Ok, so the admin of this board also has the smilie drop down by Todge as well as the UBB code in the quick reply. We have managed to sort of the smilies for the different categories. I thought I had gotten rid of the extra smilies for the UBB code in the quick reply, but they are still there. I know she had them in the wrong header and I sorted that and thought that solved the problem. However every time you click the smilie button in the UBB code for the quick reply they are still there. blossombuddies.proboards.com/

If you've made changes to the smilies through the admin panel then this is what you need to do. Tips- If you define custom smiley emoticons in your admin panel this plugin has no access to that data so if you wish those custom smileys to show up in the plugin then enable the shoutbox so the plugin can grab them, you can still hide the shoutbox, if that is what you wish, by editing the template so you don't see it
Perhaps this will be more understandable... If you have smilies other than the standard smilies defined in your admin panel then those smilies would not be available for the BBCode plugin to access on certain pages. In order to have those custom smilies appear when using quick reply you must enable the shoutbox. With the shoutbox enabled the BBCode plugin can grab the smilies from the shoutbox. If you do not want the shoutbox to display for your members and visitors then the image I posted shows how to edit the shoutbox layout to effectively hide it (but still have it remain enabled) This has nothing to do with any other plugin or even how you host your smilies. As long as you've told the admin panel which smilies you want to use it will send those smilies to the shoutbox but it will not send them to a plugin. The plugin therefore cheats by copying off the shoutbox's paper when the teacher is not looking... If you simply want to remove the button then put a checkmark next to the smiley menu on the fire tab in the plugin settings to remove it from the list of BB code buttons

She has to have the shoutbox enabled as it is in the sidebar. I am not talking about the shoutbox Eton, I am talking about the quick reply box. And yes they are appearing in the shoutbox as well. All I want is the default smilies appearing in both the shoutbox and the quick reply box. And of course any that I have designated for certain categories as per Todge's instructions.

I think we got it figured out. She wasn't storing them on her own image host and once I asked her to delete them they no longer appear in the UBB code.
