Is there a chance that I can request for a code that on particular boards, the poster's username can only be visible to the User and staff members themselves and to no-one else!
Many Thanks in advance!

Many Thanks in advance! Wouldn't you still be able to recognize them by things like signatures, avatars, groups, number of stars, etc.? What about if they edit their post? Or someone quotes someone? I suppose you could hide all those things to everyone but staff.

That's something to think about. Would there be any chance then to put a generic avatar on when anonymous on the board. How would I go about doing this Tumbleweed?

That's something to think about. Would there be any chance then to put a generic avatar on when anonymous on the board. How would I go about doing this Tumbleweed? Well there is more I didn't consider before. One can strip a board from showing any avatar or signature or even replace it with something generic but then you have to also make it so it doesn't show up on recent posts in the info center and recent post in a persons profile. Then there is the mobile version which we can't edit anyway and I'm not sure how any changes would affect the mobile version either. It becomes even more problematic when you want all this to show for the admin/staff but not for members. Honestly, it is most definitely beyond my scope of coding expertise to do all those things. Is it really that important that staff know who is posting? I ask because it just seems so much easier to just set a board to guest posting and tell members if they want anonymity to just not log in. As admin/staff with the powers you can still view IP and possibly match it up to a current user. I'm sorry, don't think I can help with this but do check back as the admin here read everything (or so it seems) and I'm sure they'll tell you if this is possible or not.

Due to the fact that codes and plugins do not affect the mobile version of the forum I don't think this could ever be a thing.
You could probably just do the same thing by making a passworded or hidden guest board. Those work universally as they're built-in features.
