Is there any way, a plugin could be made available for members to donate on a forum? However instead of the money being transferred to a pay pal or other card etc the money could be transferred to proboards account?
The button could be a small one just like the bookmarks plugin button and could allow members to select their chosen amount of donation.
Its just a small thought.... Please comment or reply to this thread c:
Thanks.

I don't know if this is something a plugin is capable of doing--adding it to the proboards account, which I have no idea what that would be anyway. You want a plugin to store real-life money into some account? Mmm.. If they want to donate money to the forum, they could purchase ad-free of their own volition for it by clicking the link at the bottom (remove banner ads from this forum) and if you want to collect real-life money from your forum, you could make a pay pal specifically for your forum and add buttons to the site.

Your ProBoards accounts do not hold money or universal credits of any sort. Anything on your ProBoards account, forum, or forum account that required a money transaction is a product or service that has been fully purchased.
Plugins are unable to perform the types of actions you're thinking of. They can only add things to the already rendered forum after page load, change how the forum is rendered, and store text-based data and Javascript objects.

Brian, just out of curiosity on this, people can already purchase ad free, proboards plus, and plug ins, and badges of course for other sites, correct? Would that only leave, renewal of hosting, as far as available things to purchase? If so, is it possible for someone to renew or pay for someone's hosting renewal if they contacted someone via pm to explain what they wanted to do. Just wondering.

I don't think we'll be allowing that, as there's also the external factor of you paying for the actual domain from whichever service you purchased it from.

Some people have their domain paid up long term. Mine is paid up for 7 more years already. I just wondered. Thanks
