This is for alcryst.proboards.com
It's similar to Avatars Per Post, which Todge is working on I believe, but it's not avatars. I'm also not sure it's possible. If it is, it probably requires keys, and I don't care how many--I'm willing.
Basically, it's similar to custom profile fields, and maybe they can even be used, but I need for my members to be able to put in different values. For example, if the field was called Color, they could put in Blue, Red, Green, and Black. Note that the members input this for themselves, not the admin or in the plugin panel, so perhaps it could be accessed through their profile. If it has to be done in the plugin, that's alright, so long as it can handle a LOT in there (thing Styled Names plugin). Once they put in their values in the profile area (or other area, if need be) then those values show up in a drop down box (or however you choose to do it) when they are in the Posting Page (quick reply not necessary) and they can choose which one they want to display in that post's mini-profile. As I have a drastically-altered mini-profile layout template, it will need to have a div class or some other way to target it, so I can style it and have it show where I want, etc. So, like Avatars Per Post, it would let you change which of the values show each post. If you need me to explain better, please just ask, I happily will.
Ideally, once you input a value for a thread, it would remember it for the rest of the thread and by default keep those values, only changing if the member decides to. If a new post in a thread, ideally it would be blank (no value selected) unless they chose to select it.
I would need the ability to have at least three fields. How many values each field can contain per member will likely depend on the key or however it works, but the more the better. I would highly prefer that the values be editable by staff and the fields would only be creatable in the plugin settings--members would not make the fields, just the values.
If this is not possible, please let me know. If I need to rephrase something, yell at me, I'll do it. I have spent many months perfecting the idea of how I want this done and this is, finally, the absolutely perfect way for me to execute my idea on my site, so I hope someone is willing. =3
