Mini-profile content per post

I've looked over what you want again, and to have exactly what you are after will require at least 1 key + localStorage.. Or up to 3 keys.

A Private User key to store the members selections (this can be replaced with localStorage, but would obviously fail if localStorage is disabled on the members PC, AND using LS restricts the plugin to the users main PC, the settings would not be available on another device/computer.

A Post Key to store the choices for each mini-profile. This could be replaced with in-post storage, but that would complicate the plugin further.

A Thread Key to remember the current choices for the thread, so that the member would not have to re-enter the choices with every post.

Let me know which route you'd rather take.

What kind of options are you considering?

Could you clarify what you mean by options? The names of the fields I want?

I assume the options will be general styling, like background color, text color, avatar.. That kind of thing?

They should act like custom profile fields, where you give it a name and the user gives it the value. Styling-wise, I'd prefer it to be a div class so I can move it around my mini-profile and style it with CSS. I'm going to be using it for things like Companions, Armor, Clothing, etc.

I believe everything else is in the first post, but if I need to clarify anything or simplify it, let me know =3 It's kinda specific what I'm looking for so I kinda rambled in the OP xD

OK, let's tackle this one element at a time....

Where exactly would you like your members to add their choices to the options, and how would you like them displayed?

They would show in the text areas where you write your posts--so the posting page. The fields are determined by the admin in the plugin itself (i.e. Armor) whereas the value is determined by the member when they make their post (i.e. golden helmet). It'd be like a text field that they can type into, similar to the custom profile fields, which is what I'm largely modeling this after.

I was hoping they would be displayed in the mini-profile wherever I put their <div class=""> in the layout template but if they have to be displayed in the post instead, I could live with that.

That shouldn't be a problem, but you said the choices would be determined by the member too, and you mentioned accessing it through their profile. That's the part of the code I'm enquiring about.
