New Member Notification for Moderators

I just became aware that my global moderator is not getting notifications when a new member signs up. I went into settings and there isn't an option for that group to receive these. Could a plugin be developed for this purpose?

A plugin wouldn't be able to do this.

Whether or not the option to receive a notification when a new member joins the forum appears is determined by whether or not you've allowed a group to have the Approve Members power in Members > Member Groups.

I see. Approving members is not required on my forum, so does that still apply?
