Hello, I havent been on ProBoards for a while and am totally baffled by all the changes that have happened. I was wondering if coding for v5 harder than it was for v4? And is the best way to do things through "plugins"? Or are headers and footers still useful? I havent done any javascript for nearly 2 years, but id love to get back into it.

Coding for v5 is actually easier than for v4 in basically every way. Most codes are now accomplished through the use of plugins, as these allow you to more easily share your work, and are supported by a wide array of new features. Headers and footers are still kicking around just like they were in v4, but plugins are definitely the new hotness. You might try taking a look through the plugin guides here: support.proboards.com/board/60.
