Staff Ribbon with different colors/ranks

I have been thinking about this request for quite some time and I got directed here.

So what I wanted for my forum was a ribbon at the bottom of the mini-profile of specific members (staff) with different rank names and colors. For example A Global Moderator would have a blue ribbon at the bottom of the mini-profile with Global Moderator written on it. And the ribbons could maybe have a code for changing the colour and the rank title.

That would be useful if I wanted to change the rank title to 'concept artist' 'administrator' 'moderator' etc.



I have tried the staff profile plugin however its not hat I as looking for.

Have a look at this forum here.
Under each miniprofile there is a red or green bar to indicate offline/online status.
If you'd like I could have a quick play with the coding for you, so that it would function as a staff banner? =]

Sorry for double posting, but I had a think through and if your help is still available I will be glad to take it. I tried to code a staff banner myself but with no luck, so this is a last resort.

Is there a way to make different ranks/groups have different coloured banners with different titles? For example a global moderator would have a staff banner with a Global Moderator written on it.

Typically I've had a couple of heavy days in work and found myself dead by the time I get home. Tomorrow I'm also working, but I know I'll be free after so I'll have a bit of time to sort this. I'd do it now but it's nearly 6am and I have to sleep. ;]

Finally found myself with time to look at this. Gotta love work, right?
When you say you'd rather have a ribbon. do you have any kind of example (or even a really bad Paint mockup) that you could show me? Would rather get what you actually want, rather than a second best. =]

Something in the style of the staff ribbon plugin. But different coloured ribbons and text. Placed underneath the post count in the mini-profile.

I don't think I have a rough drawing of it but I could draw it if that's helps

~*~   I like this idea. pawl, would you please tag me when you have this done? I think it would be nice if we were able to position the ribbon kind of where we want. Is that possible? And be able to edit the color, etc.
