I think some of my members are having issues with the dialog box showing up, again. One of them tried to type "Pink" instead of choosing a color from the color picker, so I don't think the dialog box showed up for them at all. Then her mini-profile breaks other miniprofiles if she posts in that thread. I do have the newest version.

"pink" is not a valid hex color. as staff, can you not edit their custom profile values?

at the very least, put her name in the exclusion list and it should just skip her MP and let everyone else's run fine. I would have to write in something that deleted invalid hex colors. and I wont be back for a while.

I tested this by putting "pink" into both a background color and the text color.  but it didnt break the rest of the profiles on a thread for me.  it definitely broke it for the account I changed to pink, but when I go to the profile, I can still get the boxes and change them.

what browser are they using?

do you have a link to a guest viewable thread where her MP breaks everyone else's?

I believe the problem ended up being her pop-up blocker, which may have prevented the dialog box from showing up.

Help!

I've had this plugin running flawlessly on my site (www.raptureforum.net) for a while now - but this week, it stopped working; suddenly, inexplicably... and I can't get it working again.
Now, the text containing all the colour or background details is showing up in each mini-profile, and I don't know why.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

it looks like user "Shiloh" just typed in an image URL instead of suing the dialog box that popped up. so the stored data isnt in the correct format.

that was at least one member I saw that way.. if you look at threads and MPBG isnt working, look at how the data is being shown in their MP. if it doesnt look like

{image: url to image, color: color or ''}

then they need to go back to edit profile and use the dialogs. if they arent getting the dialogs, make sure you have the most recent version.

Though it's not just that user, it's everyone...

My own mini-profile has this displayed:

Mini-Profile Background: {"image":"http://users.on.net/Awen/blueback2.png","color":""}
Mini-Profile Text Color: e8e4bb
Mini-Profile Name Color: cdc7ec


...but as I said, they were all working fine up until a couple of days ago, and then everything *stopped* working. This isn't affecting people who have changed their settings, it's affecting everyone.

its because the ones that have it set wrong are crashing the plugin. go to look at your recent posts. you will see it works because all the posts are from you and you have the field correct. now when you look at a thread, look at the first MP it fails on.
