After installing this plugin the default background stopped showing up. Even though I would have selected Default background from the menu, it only shows the default background color, not the actual image.
Also if I have selected some other background option, while downloading pages the default bg image is shown less than a second until the selected background shows up. 

Yesterday I did find another topic dealing with the same problem as the first one I described, but if I remember correctly, the problem didn't get solved and now I can't even find that posting.

I'd love to use this plugin on my forum but I'm not very good with coding so I just can't figure out what's wrong.

I gave the plugin a quick test, and you are right it's removing the default background when one hasn't been selected.

It's a minor bug that is very easy to fix.

Also want to bump this, as I'm encountering the same issue. With Version 1.1.0, selecting the Default Background option reverts to the default Background Color, not the Background Image. There was no problem in 1.0.0, but of course that version doesn't have a Default Background option. The main problem is that guests see the Background Color, not the default Background Image, which makes the forum look quite ugly .
