I'm still withouy computr unfortinately. But having more than one creature per thread could cause problems. The thread key holds a lot of data in this plugin, so adding more creatures would seriously risk running out of space. No prob! Thanks Todge! ^^

TodgeTodge! I just wanna say they love the plug in! It has now become a staple at my forum and im forever improving on the attacks and how the game is run! So thank you! Problem is its too popular. Oo I have a huge battle i want to do but the plug in is out of room and to do it I need most likely all of it. Would there be a way to add on more space or perhaps duplicate the plug in under another file name and run it on just one board on its own?

You can't simply give a plugin more room, no. But it may be possible to replace or add to the key data on a single page.
What exactly is happening and when?

The plug in is used all over the board and the data is full. So in order for me to make a new creature I have to wait for one to not be in use so I can remove it. So I was wondering if there was a way to make a second one or extend this ones space that I could use just for special events like the one I want to do . Everyone just loves it. ^^

By far largest chunk of data will be the creature appearence/attack descriptions, so you could shorten them to give yourself more room to add other creatures.
Failing that, there is a way to add extra data for use by the plugin, or even better, by the sound of it, replace it entirely in the board header(s), but I'd need a computer to write and check the code for you to add, so if you can wait a few days, when mine arrives and I have it all set up, I'll see what I can do.

Oh I do. ^^ Each creature has a set amount of attacks and I always retire the old ones when I make a new one to save on room. But this war idea that I have needs a lot of data and in order to do it. I would need to take all the creatures I have now offline. But since threads start at different times that makes it hard to do. It is a very popular game and all the players love it! So if there was a way to expand on the data space or just make a duplicate of the plug in that would be cool. ^^

Duplicating the plugin would require a lot of work, all the variables would need to be renamed tk stop them from clashing, and with a plugin this big, not something I'd want to do.
But as I mentioned, there is a way to replace or add to the plugins data in crtain boards within that boards header, so I'll look at doing that when my new PC is up and running.

Oh no prob! I dont want you to go out of your way. ^^ Whenever you get time will be great! The "war" is still in the planning stages and wont be written out till after the holidays. So no need to rush or put it ahead of other projects. Im just thrilled for your help! Thanks again the whole plug in really added a lot to my board!

Is this plug-in in the plug-in library? Is it available to everyone? I would very much like to try and use it on my forum as well. It would work great for us I think. spnunforgiven.proboards.com/

Hi, The plugin is not currently in the library, but you are quite welcome to try it. You can get the current version here Version 0.1.8It is quite important how the data is added to the plugin for it to work correctly, but all the instructions are within this tgread somewhere. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll see if I can help. Please be aware that I do not currently have a working PC so there is only so much I can currently do.

Fill out the following using a test creature.
Creature Info
[TITLE]Onix Onix {100-130 15%} http://i88./k196/MalaikaPyralis/Onix.png
[TITLE]
100 - 130 is the HP points the creature has. The higher the points the longer the creature will take to kill. If you want an exact HP amout keep the two numbers the same.
15% is the miss rate. You can make this higher or lower.
If you want to add in a new creature fill in the blanks below and paste it after the Image URL to the old creature, keeping the lone [TITLE] bracket at the end. Be sure to keep one space between each creatures info.
[TITLE] Name of Creature Name of Creature {100-130 15%} URL of Creature
Paste the following in each text area.
Appearance Notification
[Onix]A wild Onix appears!
Attack Notification
Miss
[Onix]Your attack missed the [NAME]! [NAME] Life Remaining: [Life]
Low Damage Notifications
[Onix] Your low attack hardly makes a scratch on the [NAME]. Damage Dealt to [NAME]: [HP] [NAME] Life Remaining: [Life]
Medium Damage Notifications
[Onix]Your attack knocks the [NAME] on its side! [NAME]. Damage Dealt to [NAME]: [HP] [NAME] Life Remaining: [Life]
High Damage Notifications
[Onix] Your attack knocks the [NAME] for a loop! [NAME]. Damage Dealt to [NAME]: [HP] [NAME] Life Remaining: [Life]
Kill Notifications
[Onix] The [NAME] is out for the count!
You need to have the creatures name in brackets at the start of the attacks so the plug in knows what attack is for what creature. You dont need to have it after every attack, just for the first one if you are going to list several attacks. When you add a second creature you can list the attacks under the older one. Just make sure the first attack has the new creatures name in brackets. Make sure to keep one space between every attack or the attacks will run together.
Instead of typing the creatures name over and over you can use the term [NAME]. This will be replaced by the creatures name shown in the starting bracket. You can use [NAME] in the attacks so you can reuse the same attacks for creatures in the future without having to edit.
[HP] Shows what the damage is from the attack.
[LIFE] shows what life it has left.
If you want it to be a "swarm" you need to add an * after the title name and after the name in brackets for the attacks. Such as
[TITLE]Spearow* Spearow {50-75 15%} http://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/pokemon-blue-version/0/00/Spearow.gif
[Spearow*]A flock of wild Spearow appears!
Swarms are different than normal creatures. The 50 - 75 range indicates how many are in the swarm. Swarms are creatures with one HP each and will die with one hit. So they attack on mass. Their attacks need to be written like this.
[NAME] Destroyed: [HP] [NAME] Remaining: [LIFE]
Swarms take longer to defeat so keep their numbers around 75 or so.
If you want to add player hit points you can add the following.
The next player to post is hit and loses [RAN] HP!
[RAN] Indicates a random number of HP the player can deduct from their total. You can word this any way you wish.

Ok, thank you. I did try it... and I couldn't get the attack notifications to work. Like the original creature pop up would work (though sometimes the entry seemed to be there and other times when you viewed the thread it was gone) but I couldn't get the attack portion to work. The attack button was there and it posted a post but it didn't give a pop up or post anything about the hits or anything. I tried disabling pop up blockers and such also using both chrome and firefox. I'll try it again with the test data given.
I thought I had the data in there correctly but I'll try it again.
EDIT: Where do you ad this piece? The next player to post is hit and loses [RAN] HP! Which section?
EDIT 2: Ok, putting in the sample data you gave me I got the attacks to work. <3 Thanks. Do you just put attacks in for each creature name (title name) and then when you select the type of creature when you make the thread, it knows what attacks to use? I'm a little confused with multiple creatures.

Below is a section of two creatures that I use to give an example of how its set up from the med attack range. What I do it put the attacks that deal with the players in brackets so they know its directed at them.
When you list multiple attacks for one creature you can just keep adding to it, just make sure there is a space between each attack. So each block of text is one attack.
The plug in knows what attacks to use by the names given in the brackets such as [Ice Titan]. So any attacks listed under that it will select from.
[Shadow Heartless*] The attack destroys only a few of the Heartless nearby! A massive pack of [name] claw their way out of the very ground from pools of darkness! Slashing at whoever is closest! (The next player to post is hit and loses [RAN] HP!) [NAME] Destroyed: [HP] [NAME] Remaining: [LIFE]
A weak attack that only takes out a few of the shadows! A pack of [name] jumps at the next player from the shadows and is hit with “Claw Slash!” (The next player to post is hit and loses [RAN] HP!) [NAME] Destroyed: [HP] [NAME] Remaining: [LIFE]
[Ice Titan]The weak attack strikes the [NAME] and really angers it! It roars and raises a clawed hand to the heavens! Clouds move in as the temperature suddenly drops to below freezing! The ground rumbles as ice and snow fall from the sky that hits the next player with “Avalanche!” (The next player to post is hit and loses [RAN] HP!) Damage Dealt to [NAME]: [HP] [NAME] Life Remaining: [Life]
The attack strikes the [NAME] as it roars! Lifting its giant foot the [NAME] slams it into the ground creating a ripples of energy as it hits the next player with “Shockwave!” (The next player to post is hit and loses [RAN] HP!) Damage Dealt to [NAME]: [HP] [NAME] Life Remaining: [Life]

TodgeOh Todge! Just one small issue. When you get your pc back is there a way to show what creature is being used in what thread? sometimes when the players set it up themselves they click the wrong one.
