PostChoke not working

I can't get this plugin to work, so I figure I'm doing something wrong. In the box for board and the box for thread...do I type in the title, or the direct link to each. I have some use for this, if I can get it to work.

You select a board from the list that shows in the dialog, you can't enter anything for that but check which ones it applies too.

For the thread box, it would be the thread id, which you can get from the URL in the address bar.

For example, the id of this thread is "517862"...

Well Peter, no such luck.

I typed in a member name...checked all three boxes (create, reply, modify)...selected the board from the drop down...and then pasted the thread id from the URL in the address bar. And of course, clicked on Save Changes.

But the member still can access the thread.

Should I delete the plugin and try re-uploading it to the board?

I went back to look at this and I think some things have changed since I initially wrote it. Give me a day or two to sort out what I need to do to bring it up to date. It was one of the first plugins I wrote and a LOT of things have changed behind the scenes since then.

New version did not work...not for an individual nor for the reverse choke. Please keep trying...this could be a terrific tool if it would work!

Worm,

I've downloaded and installed it and then hit "saved." It registers as saved. It shows in the admin panel AND I can assign members to it for purpose of utilizing the plugin. Why/how you don't see it installed is beyond me. I will delete it again and reinstall again. Maybe that will do it.

Addendum:

I deleted the plugin and all data. I went to the plugin library and clicked on the install button. (not the download button) The plugin shows in my library. I opened it up, selected the thread and the post and typed in a member name for postchoke and then hit reverse, which I assume means ONLY the named member can actually post in the thread. (staff as well) So...if I did all the steps correctly, you should see it working.

Let's start over. What forum is this on? You never explicitly said the URL, and I was guessing it was one from one of your support threads


Also, after you install it, are you changing anything other then making a choke?

And reverse choke means only the ones listed. No one else. Not even staff
