Is there any way that plugin can be made to make the forum statistics only visable to the administrator or moderators?

Go to Themes > Layout Templates > Home and find {if $[show_stats]} and place {if $[current_user.is_staff]} before it, then place {/if} at the very end.

Can you provide a link to the forum you're doing this on?
Also, do you have multiple themes on your forum? You'd need to do it on all of them.
