Image rollover

I have an animated gif that I want to use as a mouseover, but the only problem is that it only does it to the first link I hover over unless I refresh the page. 

I'm looking for it to trigger each time I hover over a link so that it gives off the animated effect.

(This is for the nav bar btw)

I'm a little confused as to what you mean by animated effect, can you show an example of what you've seen that does this?

On my forum stronkteam.freeforums.net there is a hover over on the nav tabs. The first time you hover it plays the gif animation but it doesnt apply this effect each time you hover over.

I was wondering if there was a solution to this, something like cause the mouseover to trigger it etc.
