I have this banner I made in photoshop but when I go to add text it goes across the page and I don't know how to format it properly. Is there anyone that can tell me whats the best way to do this?

click + drag to desired size using the text tool and it should create a bounding box.

I don't have a picture of what you mean so this is hard to imagine however this might help;
>Select Type Tool
>Select Text Layer
>Ctrl+A
>Change the font size
If you could provide a picture or an example I could possibly help more.
