Good morning all, just been for my early morning walk and it's cloudy with rain but nice and cool which will do me. Not much on the agenda today for me and Liz, maybe a little bit of shopping and that's about all, have a great day everyone.

I went for walk in woods with my dog, weather was nice and got back before it started raining. Still feel Autumn is the best month as can get sun but not burning kind of summer.

I agree with you there Søren about Autumn but I can also add November, December etc as the same, lovely and cold and better than heat any day lol. Anyway, good evening ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥, Teddybear8 and all, this week has flown by and the weekend in nearing closer and me and Liz will look forward to that and will be chilling out, with grandsons and family naturally too.

If I didn't born so early I was meant to be a more Autumn baby, with birthday near Halloween

I've been busy getting new furniture and decorating pieces, plus cleaning my place up for the winter. I'm really happy this time cause I'm getting everything ready.

Good afternoon all, our broadband internet service has been down up until an hour ago and now it's up and running again. Was not a problem really as myself & Liz was up the doctors early for our yearly flu jab and then did a bit of shopping and now just chilling out, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Søren This week we went to the state fair twice. I normally burn easy (it's my Irish genes kicking in.) and was surprised it was in the 90's F. and I was not burnt at all. I loved the walking around all day though. It's a beautiful morning right now. Blue skies and 51 F. YAY! I'm ready for cooler temps. So glad they are on their way. Hubby and I were talking the other day about getting a firepit started soon. We need to find some wood to burn and dig out our old pit. We'd love to build one of our own out in the back yard. Caajscot (John) For us, November and December are more like what Autumn weather. I miss having snow by Thanksgiving like we knew when we were kids. I just live in a weird place that's all. Eek! I need to go get my flu shot too soon. Hubby normally has not side affects from getting his. He got his shot about a week ago. This time, it's really affecting him. He's not really running a fever but he's telling me he's freezing etc. I think this time he's actually getting a small bout of the flu, which I've heard can happen. He's finally getting some sleep right now after coughing a lot for the past few nights to where he couldn't sleep. It should pass soon. Hopefully. I want him well before I get mine. ugh. Jaguar Love your new avatar. Hey I see your candy count is way up there. I wonder do you have a sugar high yet? LOL! Waves a hello to everyone else who reads this.

Yesterday we bought two Blue Apple Snails (aka) Mystery Snails, and addition to our one Golden Apple Snail and turns out that one of my Blue Apple Snails is a female (found that out for obvious reasons) now I know what proper gender names to give them. I already knew after finding out later what to call my Golden Apple Snail, Oliver. It's not easy finding their gender but, it does take patients. So, the one that Oliver bred with is Blue Rose and the much smaller one is Boo since I'm not quite sure what that one's gender is, yet. So exciting, I will some day be starting a nursery for more Apple Snails. ? I do LOVE Apple Snails a lot, they are so very beautiful they're not like your ordinary snail at all, these ones are like from a fairy tail or something. lol ? Click HERE to read up on Apple Snails: Some call them a pest, I call them my pets or I wouldn't give them a name, pond snails are a pest. There's also a variety of them too which I am hoping to get from them breeding.

The water came back on at 5:22pm and the garbage got put out. I forgot the green bin last Monday.

My stove caught on fire the other day because the display gave up, and started to explode and seize, and smoke. Then two days later someone gave us a free stove, that was in a barn and before we hooked it up in the house we found a dead opossum inside. xP so that's how my week has been going.

Oh my god ashycat! the stove catching fire would have spooked me out and if Liz found a dead possum or anything else she would have treble freaked out mega style and would refuse to use the stove again.

@linette
Oh my goodness. I was just telling my daughter the other day, how when I was little we went to visit my aunt (who's hubby was stationed I believe in France). They had these huge snails all over the sidewalks and on the stone walls to the point that you had to watch where you'd step or you'd squish them. For a four year old, that's a huge mess.
Then I told her how when I was about nine or ten, living in Germany, we had snail races. They were a bit smaller snails, but we really had fun with them. Reminds me how people here have toad races and they go any which way. Here in the US, all we find are those tiny things in ponds like you mentioned... unless you go to a pet store in the fish section. I think they help keep fish tanks clean.
Sounds like you have as much fun with snails like we did back in the day. Are these to go into an aquarium? I also never knew we could find out their genders. Cool.
ashycat!
I don't believe we've met before. Hello there. I hope your day today goes much better. Esh! It's a good thing you found the dead opossum before you turned it on. Those things stink bad enough before their dead, I would hate to find one as you did.
Waves a hello to everyone else.
