Staff Only boards?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I tried to create a Staff-boards for my staff and I to talk about potential updates. I switch it to "hidden" and then set the "who can access this category" to Staff, but it's still invisible for me. Am I not supposed to set it to "hidden"? Because I'd like to keep potential updates a surprise for my members.

Setting a board or category to hidden hides it from view for everybody.

Simply changing the view and access permissions to staff-only should be enough.
