Does my request belong with coding or tech support?
What is the code for placing one image as a border around the entire forum? I would like a specific style or image for thanksgiving.

The first image seems to be copyrighted and the second one looks to be too small.

Hi @womenonly, What you'll want to do I is add some css to the bottom of your style sheet. Admin> Themes> Advanced Styles & CSS> Style Sheet Something like this: /* border around forum */ #wrapper{ background-image:url(yourimagehere); background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:18px; } The image goes where it says: yourimagehere .....and it should be the direct link. If your image is made to repeat then you'll want to change no-repeat to repeat or if you just want it to repeat a certain direction it would be repeat-y or repeat-xThe padding I have in there you may want to remove or change. That makes 18 pixels of the image show around/outside the forum.

Thank you for your response.

@womenonly, Take your time and if you have any issues just post back. I still assistance. Please review my screen shots. My Family's Roses of Sharon s5.postimg.cc/eyhlwvx53/AIK_S_Roses_Of_Sharon_On_Sunday_August_17_2014_0.jpg Is it possible for this border image code, to work with internet border images-if they are direct links?
/* border around forum */ #wrapper{ background-image:url(http://s5.postimg.cc/eyhlwvx53/AIK_S_Roses_Of_Sharon_On_Sunday_August_17_2014_0.jpg); background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:18px; }

That image seems to work fine but it isn't the ideal type of image you might want to use. First, I should explain. You really can't add a border per say with an image that I'm aware of. You can use css to make a colored REAL border but since you have an image, what we did is make it a background behind your forum.
Most members, for a image border, use an image that is larger than at least the width of their forum or they just use an image that repeats nicely. (Here I tossed one of my flower graphic images made to repeat so you know what I mean by repeating nicely: eltestsite1.proboards.com/ Your image is small and when it repeats, it won't look so great. To see how it looks repeating just change this line...
background-repeat:no-repeat;
to this...
background-repeat:repeat;
If it were me I'd put it in a graphics program and just cut out the flower and use that for the border. I'd offer to do it for you but my desk top computer with my graphics programs on it died. If you'd like someone to do that for you, I'd suggest you make a new thread here in the graphics request board since this thread is getting long and no one may look at it thinking you have been helped. Otherwise, I think you may want to find something that repeats nicely instead of the block of the picture repeated over and over. Totally up to you, of course.

If I understand correctly, an image-border is either one correctly sized object such as one flower, solid colors or dotted, dashed and so forth. It does not make a difference whether that direct link is from another internet site or a personal photograph, such as my Roses Of Sharon. The other solution would include my getting a graphics software program. Would something like MSN'S paint be that graphic answer? If I am correct, then this thread appears to be resolved. Notify me if I am incorrect. Thank you for your help.

Notify me if I am incorrect. Using CSS3 there is such a thing as the border image property ( www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_border-image.asp ) but I can't remember how well it worked or if I even tested it at some point in the past. I did just now and I only have IE10 and it says it only will work in IE11 and I currently don't have any other browsers to test it installed on my feeble little lap top. You could play around with that to test it out if you have another browser or have IE11. But they way we all (most members on ProBoards) have been doing any kind of border using an image is just by making it a background and then increasing or decreasing the padding to get the look of border but it is still just a background. There is the actual border property that is solid, dashed, dotted but in colors and thicknesses only. Not images.

I understood that it was not possible for an image to be just a border(around a forum). I decided to go with one vertical image.
